Hello readers! It’s your friendly neighbourhood reviewer back again with a sizeable update about the blog’s future.
If you follow me on X, you’ll know that I recently posted bemoaning my lack of motivation for reviewing light novels and my wish to start switching things up. This post will tentatively put these future plans in place.
Firstly, I’d like to address the elephant in the room, the light novel reviews. These are the posts that’ll see the biggest changes going forward, which will start with a significant reduction in the number of series I continue with (see the dropdown below for the series that make the cut). Going forward, my focus on light novels will move almost exclusively towards new licenses and reviewing first volumes. Even with these, I plan to be more picky than usual with the series I choose to review.
Continuing Light Novels
Even Dogs Go to Other Worlds
Finding Avalon
From Villainess to Healer
Full Clearing Another World
The Villainess and The Villain
Isekai Walking
Lady Bumpkin
Observation Records
The Reincarnator and The Goblin Maiden’s Happily Ever After
Too Many Losing Heroines
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy
Victoria of Many Faces
The Water Magician
Next up, the content that’ll take the light novel’s place, TV reviews. Much like my most recent post, these are going to be reviews of different TV series (mainly sci-fi and crime). While I haven’t decided on what series I’m going to be doing next, I have come up with four different styles of review that I’ll be creating with them (more on that soon). What I do want to do, however, is more Doctor Who reviews, starting with the second season premiering in the spring.
Finally, there are the travel blog posts and the Sci-Fi masterworks reviews. The travel blog posts are going to continue as usual. This is the content that I’ve been enjoying writing the most. I would genuinely do more of this style of content if only money were no object. As for the Sci-Fi masterworks reviews, these are going on hold. I plan to do more, but this content takes the longest to set up and creates a punishing setback if I fail to finish them.
That’s all for now; catch you guys in the next post.
What do you think I should review next? What are your thoughts on the blog’s change of pace? Let me know in the comments below.
